The Sensor is a battery powered multi-function (Temperature, Humidity and Water) sensor and when installed in a Trio + Heating system is used as a temperature Sensor. 

Sensor Placement:

Your sensors should be located in their appropriate zones. i.e. Bedroom / Kitchen so they can accurately report the temperature accordingly. We would recommend that the sensor is located away from heat sources, direct sunlight and draughts, i.e - next to windows / open doors. This will enable your system to report the most accurate temperature.
